Charming Madrid house gets facelift

A fabulous transformation was created in this home in Madrid, Spain found on Nuevo Estilo, creating a peaceful and tranquil environment throughout. The residence was designed by interior designer María de la Osa to enhance the natural luminosity and achieve a rational distribution of space and recreate a comfortable and cozy decoration. Located in a residential area, the house featured a spatial organization that could not meet the needs of the current owners, a couple with three young children. The interior designer redefined and re-shaped most the spaces throughout the home. The garage, located in the basement, changed its use to become a play room for children as well as a large laundry room.
On the ground floor, which presents a set of heights to adapt to the ground, the kitchen occupied an excessively large upper-level space, so it was reduced to add in the dining room. The master bedroom was enlarged to create a dressing room and office space. The house offers plenty of natural light penetrating through large windows and several skylights, but the interior was further reinforced with this luminosity by painting the walls and floors white with an epoxy. This created an immaculate continuous box increasing the feeling of space. The serene and balanced decoration has been formed with a mixture of classic style pieces of the owners and modern day furnishings.Via
