Modern Ibiza dream home with Spanish elements

We spotted this ultra-fabulous minimalist home on Nuevo Estilo, which stands in a field of olive trees, orange groves and almond trees in the old town of Dalt Vila in Ibiza. The home was built for a French film director and his wife by architect Jaime Serra, head of studio Atlant Del Vent. The property consists of two walls of dry stone, preserved from the ruins found in the estate, forming the main structure of the house and separates private and public spaces.

The owners sought a traditional image with a contemporary touch. The construction was divided into three parts; the central part hosts the lounge, which opens up to a garden through glass that slides into the facade. This open living space is separated by a slight drop that flows into the dining room. On the other side of the dining room is the kitchen and the master bedroom is situated on the opposite wing.
The furnishings follow the same refined architecture guidelines, minimal, clean and simple. Steel and wood are the main elements, along with concrete polishing, present on the floor of the house and on the walls of the bathroom. Raw elements and splashes of graphic black and white tones rounds out the aesthetic environment. Everything is beautiful, useful and light: a harmonic balance, which gives the starring role to the nature, to the garden of Mediterranean species, showing its splendor with little irrigation and gives aromas of orange blossom and lavender.
