Spacious Östermalm penthouse with elegant design

This exceptional penthouse loft, spotted over at Lagerlings, is located in Östermalm, a city districtof Stockholm, Sweden. The home features a unique volume, large open living spaces and plenty of natural light from the large windows and skylights. The penthouse was originally used as an artist’s studio, but was later modified to be one of Stockholm’s most spectacular dwellings. Classic materials such as wide wooden floor planks and natural materials are intermingled with advanced technology and an ultra-modern layout.
The heart of the floor plan consists of the huge living room with double height ceilings, an elegant fireplace and large built-in bookshelves. Large window areas have fully automatic solar shielding which allows light to penetrate from three sides.
The galley kitchen features an open island with an area for dining, above the kitchen, is a library/work room. A spectacular guest bathroom is designed with a beautiful mosaic tile pattern. There are two separate mezzanine floors with the dining room and master bedroom on one side and guest bedroom on the other side. The master bedroom has a fireplace, loft, private bathroom and a balcony. The master bath features a built-in tub cast in concrete with thermal loops, and built-in fireplace. There is also a steam shower, separate toilet and double washbasins in concrete. The dining room features a round window overlooking Östermalmstorg square and the downstairs living area.
