A luxurious transformation in San Francisco

This single family residence in the Clarendon Heights area has panoramic views of downtown San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge, and Bay Bridge from every level. It was a 2-story house built in 1960, with a ‘telephone pole’ foundation.
The project entailed putting in a modern perimeter and slab foundation down the hillside, removing the ‘telephone poles’, and expanding down beneath the original structure. The 2,200 square foot house was renovated and enlarged into a 5,700 square foot showcase home. Designed by Andy Rodgers Design Studio in conjunction with SF Modern, into a modern resort style, it uses natural and modern elements in harmonic balance. The resulting house is a 5-bedroom, 7-bath home with expansive living areas, media room, wine cellar, solar panels, elevator, and 5 patios for true indoor-outdoor integration. Now that the renovation has been completed, the home is for sale at $5,000,000.
